Cumberland is where Eastern Properties Group started, and it’s still our home base. As the Allegany County seat, the city carries the courthouse, the county offices, and a downtown that has spent years rebuilding around the historic Baltimore Street pedestrian mall and Canal Place, where the C&O Canal towpath ends. The rental market here is a mix: historic homes in North End, more affordable housing in South Cumberland, and a steady stream of renters connected to UPMC Western Maryland, the region’s largest hospital.
